This book investigates and catalogues the traits of chronic pain in Joint Hypermobility Syndrome (JHS) and other inherited disorders of connective tissue from the physiological, epidemiological, genetic and clinical practice perspectives. It encourages readers to think about the possibility of JHS, recognise it, and understand its co-morbidities, including with Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. It also suggests ways of management. The text uses a multidisciplinary approach to understanding JHS and its management, using the knowledge of several recognised authors in the field. Section 1 of the book identifies the clinical manifestations of JHS and Fibromyalgia, their epidemiology and pathophysiology. Section 2 examines clinical management. This section includes treatments for patients from childhood to adulthood. It is anticipated that this text will spur continued research and discussion.
